Exhibition Guidelines

Please ensure that all staff involved with your stand/presence at the exhibition over the two exhibition days are dressed appropriately. Inappropriately dressed members of staff on exhibition stands will be prohibited from attending the exhibition.

For security and safety reasons, exhibit movement in or out of the exhibition halls is not permitted during exhibition opening hours.

Compliance with these guidelines is essential for a seamless experience of the exhibition. Exhibitors are required to familiarise themselves with and adhere to the provided rules to ensure alignment with our company policies and prioritise health and safety measures:

  • No filming within the exhibition hall is allowed unless prior written approval has been obtained from the organisers.
  • No marketing, advertising, self-promotion, or branding activities outside of your paid for stand space is allowed, unless prior written consent has been obtained from the organisers.
  • No booths or features which are over 4 meters in height; double-decker in design; have a platform of 600mm or more, or which have a complex design are allowed, unless reviewed and approved by the organisers in writing.
  • Items presenting special risks, including alcohol, are not permitted on-site without prior written approval from the organisers.
  • Display of equipment, materials, or marketing outside the paid-for stand space is prohibited.
  • Utilisation of aisles for any such purposes requires prior written consent from the organisers.

Breach of these rules can lead to penalties

Site Rules

We want everyone to be safe at our venue. The following applies to all contracted staff, organisers, exhibitors, and authorised visitors:

  • Pre-registration and approval from ADNEC is required for vehicle access into halls/loading bay.
  • High visibility vests must be worn when off-loading/loading in loading bays – work safely.
  • Loading/unloading of equipment/freight into the main venues entrance is prohibited
  • Possession/use of controlled substances, speeding, music/noise hindering alarms, and entry of children under sixteen during move-in/out are prohibited.
  • Prohibition of helium-filled balloons/blimps, confetti, glitter for displays/exhibits is enforced.
  • Motorized vehicles with steel/hard metallic wheels are not permitted in concourses/lobbies.
  • Drone use at ADNEC is prohibited.
  • Removal of ADNEC’s electrical equipment is prohibited.
  • Personal transport devices are not allowed on carpet/terrazzo floor surfaces during show hours.
  • Special permits are required for event activities/exhibits involving cooking, lasers, pyrotechnics, tents, multi-level/covered exhibits.
  • All accidents/incidents must be reported to the Akabo Media team so they can provide appropriate incident reports to ADNEC.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and dispose of waste appropriately.
  • All contractors must present a valid Emirates ID (for UAE residents) or Passport and Visa copy (for International contractors)
  • Contractors who sub-contract, must have an official agreement in writing, between the two parties, under the official agreement of “Subcontract Agreement No:” (this official form can be found in any UAE book shop). To ensure this document will be accepted by ADNEC access Control Areas – the two parties must have both their company stamp shown on the documentation.
  • Hazardous chemicals/materials are prohibited inside ADNEC e.g. pesticides, herbicides, poisons, flammable and combustible liquids, hazardous gases, pressure cylinders and tanks, and hazardous chemicals.
  • Smoking/vaping is strictly prohibited inside the venue and in the vicinity of entrance portals.

Tape & Tape Removal

ADNEC requires the use of 3M low tack tape, which is a kind that can be easily removed. A higher rate will be charged for the removal of tapes not approved by ADNEC. Plastic packing tape, gaffer tape, masking tape or drafting tape, all of which are difficult tapes to remove from floors, are not to be used. Please ensure all tape is removed at the end of the event.

PPE

Appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) must be worn:

  • High Visibility Vests
  • Suitable Footwear
  • Steel toe safety shoes
  • Gloves
  • Hard hat

Please ensure you bring sufficient Hi Vis vests with you for you and your team. This includes hardwall exhibitors as well as space only exhibitors.

Failure to wear appropriate PPE will result in you not being granted access.
