Health & Safety
All employers including ADNEC, contractors and exhibitors, have a duty of care under the UAE Federal Labour Law No 8 to ensure that work activities are carried out with proper regard to safety.

Special Risks
If you have any special risks, please contact operations@akabomedia.co.uk no later than 28 days prior to the event, and we will advise you of further steps.
Special risks include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Filming, Television & Recording
- Cooking Demos*
- Gas (Compressed/inert) **
- Inert Gas Cylinders**
- Gas (Liquid Petroleum (LP)) **
- Vehicles, electrical, mechanical, or chemical devices
- Special Effects (Fog and Hazers) **
- **Any heater, laser, barbecue, open flame, candles, lamps, torches, fireworks, and pyrotechnics**
- Tents or covered exhibits more than 301 square feet (91.74 square meters) erected inside the exhibit hall(s).
- Platforms & Stages
- Rigging
- Water Features
- Cadaver
- Stands with roofs**
- Multi-Level or Double decker stands**
Vehicles on Display
Vehicles on display shall comply with the following:
- ADNEC floor surface must be protected
- Exit & Exit access must remain free of any obstructions
- Vehicles must be positioned prior to the opening
- The fuel tanks of motor vehicles must contain only sufficient fuel to move the vehicle out of the hall
- The fuel tanks on all other petrol-engine equipment must be empty. The fuel tank must be sealed with a locked cap
- All batteries within vehicles must be removed, disconnected on all terminals, or permanently isolated and made safe before the public is admitted to the Hall and not reconnected until after the final closure of the exhibition
- All vehicles must be provided with a drip tray and shall be positioned within the boundaries of the stand so that any protrusions, doors, tail lifts etc. do not infringe the stand perimeter
- The running of internal combustion engines during the open period of the Show is strictly prohibited
- Filling or emptying of fuel tanks inside the hall is strictly prohibited at any time
- Vehicles shall not be moved during show hours
* Is permitted but will require submission for a permit. You may also require approval by the venue and or a fire marshal, please refer to the ADNEC Handbook and reach out to us.
** Your exhibit will be considered a complex stand, requiring a submission of plans to a structural engineer which will incur costs and prior approval from ADNEC. Please reach out to us for next steps.
